I ran 4 (12:08) on the jesus etc. course. it was a little warmer today and the sun was out, so a good time. i drank two pots of coffee to offset last night’s gallon of wine, so i was percolating through the run. i missed the world’s greatest photo dammit. an old guy, even by my standards, was sitting on the seawall next to his ancient bike. he was dressed in his best cowboy gear. hat, shirt, wranglers, belt with silver buckle. just sitting by the bay. a frail skeleton decked out for the rodeo. i wish i knew what his story was. i wanted to take a portrait but it seemed so intrusive. there was no way to shoot a guerrilla photo, and i didn’t want him to think i was making fun of him. then when i came back he was already gone. it was nice on the trail. just True Believers. an OK place to run. legs are fresh. i hope to go longer tomorrow.
p.s. the elf is developing an attitude. gonna be a long month.
