4 miles (12:06)

g — life is a series of science experiments. longtime readers will recall i went boost-only yesterday to see if gluten was the culprit. which worked great until about 4 a.m., when my belly asked WHY THE HELL IS THERE 300 OUNCES OF BOOST IN HERE??? i got up to rummage around for belly helpers. only thing i could find was some antacid that had expired in 2007. 2007??? even by Taste Test Tuesday standards, that’s a stretch. so naturally i had a couple. i watched a fascinating religious show in which the nice man said that God had caused me to wake up in the middle of the night and find his show. i had a problem (HOW DID HE KNOW?) i need a  solution (UNCANNY!!!). all i had to do was send him $273 immediately (charged to my credit card) and he would get God to fix it for me. he did not indicate whether there was free shipping, and there was no mention of a tote bag thrown in, so i delayed. and then i love lucy came on. it was the one where she gets in trouble and comes up with a scheme to get out of it. i love that one. and then i chatted on facebook with odd people who apparently sleep at night, before finally drugging myself to sleep. fast forward to 1 p.m.: went out for run, still feeling a bit hungover. first mile felt ok, second mile felt better, last 2 felt great. 4 miles jesus etc. (12:06). no breathing problem at all. so the answer would seem to be clear: i must watch more i love lucy. running is more complicated than the brochure would seem to indicate.
